Heat-addled: Cooler heads will prevail

Of course an essential part of life in New York is a complaint incessant, and while we like unhappy, the truth is we find reassuring this mode of discourse. Really, it is less a way express displeasure and more a form of the familiar address. A Texan could a neighbor with a friendly "Howdy!" Greetings or a Hawaiian might provide a warm "Aloha!" (at least according to what I have seen on TV, that is the extent of most of my cultural knowledge), but here in NYC, we simply replace expressions distressed and announce, "It is out hot like balls there!" And it is hot as balls, auch-- so hot that pedestrians minimum dress:
