The Haulin' bass project: A musical mission from bike trailer

John Teske is a Seattle based, seven by long bassist and composer who drags his double bass on a customized bike trailer feet three meters wide. Teske raised more than $1000, the trailer, with Rails, lights and padded supports the bass to protect to build.

I bike everywhere except for samples and shows. I tried car hire and bumming rides, and I am getting tired strange looks from the bus driver when I for two numbers.

The Seattle Times reported Teske's unique trailer project in July 2010.

He is a passionate advocate of new music, which is also a dedicated cyclists and a firm believer in sustainable use. To this end, he gave a steel-framed bike trailer for his bass in order. The idea is to expand its performance capabilities without a ride negotiate to urge his fellow passengers on the bus or a car rent.

Christmas bike cargo trailer specials

I wanted with Christmas, crept on us American thing to do and to advertise.  See our Christmas specials bike cargo trailer.

As suppliers of fine Bicycle accessories we have usually found that bike cargo trailers are not necessarily hot items around Christmas time.  Our thinking is that they both are a bit too expensive, and perhaps a bit too much of a personal choice easily for someone else as a gift be chosen.  With, that being said, we have decided to launch our bike trailer Christmas sale one little earlier this year.  The hope is that this gift, possibly could give buyers a little longer to find out if your friends or family on the concept of a cargo bike trailers are encouraged.

One interesting thing about gifting a bike trailer is that many people don't realize how much you would benefit by owning one before you have it.  Gift a trailer for a cycling friend and you'll soon discover how much you can do more with their bikes.

We already low marked price range Extrawheel Voyager from $209 to $199.  Granted, this is the price for the trailer without the wheel, the most cyclists have hanging around an extra front wheel that you can use.

As this post is mainly for the sale of trailers for Christmas I will much insight on each trailer up to offer.  Instead, I will point some of recent posts that we've written.

The new wheel of San Francisco offers Wandertec BONGO trailer bikes

We were very excited when the new wheel electric bike shop San Francisco us here at the BikeTrailerShop.com looking for a solution contacted for the delivery of brand spanking new electric bicycles for your customers.  It sounded like a job for the Wandertec BONGO trailer a trailer that we here in our shop to make.  BONGO Wandertec is an open platform which makes it ideal for a variety of custom applications.
After we the situation with Brett Thurber the new wheel size, we have decided the large frame only (no BONGO Loadbed), 20 wheels and an extra long hitch arm extension 2 ft to send.  The new wheel as cut the cut the corresponding Loadbed, roof rack mounted style trays, on car size of Loadbed with BONGO frame mounted and were in the business.  Just a note that the extra long hitch arms only by special order are available, but should be available for purchase on the website of summer 2011.  Let us know if you have a custom application for the Wandertec BONGO…

For the Burley Cargo Trailer line up…

There’s the Burley Nomad coming in at $315. Normally $349, the Nomad is a sleek, yellow fellow that’s a great all-around trailer. It can flaunt the fact that it’s aggressive, yet light weight and easily maneuverable for a touring expedition, while offering a spacious cargo space and push cart mobility while commuting around town or grocery shopping. User-friendly, multipurpose, ready to roll.

Another Burley work horse to consider is the Burley Flatbed Trailer, at the low cost of $225. This is a great deal on a trailer that has been selling for $299.  A favorite for outdoors man, lumberjacks, and even bow hunters, this trailer is made for oblong, heavy loads. The Flatbed, as the name insinuates, has a flat cargo bed, with two side panels, and an open ended front and back side. Then there is the Burley Travoy, the trusty commuter and travel cargo trailer at the discounted price of $259 (retail $289). The Travoy is the transformer of cargo trailers, with the ability to go from bike trailer to folded trailer that is the size of a suitcase, handle included. With the unique pivoting seat post mounted design, you can stealthily mouse through traffic with the Travoy tracking right behind. The dream of any big city biker, treat yourself to the trailer no serious commuter should have to do without.

And for the Burley Child Trailers…

The Burley Solo is the first in the line up. The Solo is great for the single family household that like to ride together. Made for just one child, the Solo is more narrow and nimble than it’s larger siblings. With a large storage area for groceries and the like, and the inner pockets for baby bling, you have enough room for everything to keep both you and your little one comfortable. The Solo can also be converted to a stroller or a jogger with the accessory kits. A great way to combine your hobbies of biking, jogging, and strolling around town, at the low price of $475 (retail $529).

To top it off, the D’Lite also has elastomer suspension, so you can bike all over town while the kids reline back and enjoy the ride. A reader sent us this strange/interesting bike trailers and Pannier themed collage.  Not quite sure why so there no message.  But it reminded in connection with me the Mission of this blog, which is to publish everything bike trailer.  We are interested in photos of your bike trailer on tour around town bike commute and is used in all art's weird and wacky ways.

A suitcase bike trailer solution

Maurice writes the following about his Setup:

"Twice now I made long distance solo bike tours in Europe." Three years ago it was the Alps, the Switzerland and then by Croatia. This year it was Loire Valley and Brittany two months in France. I have both my own trailer. I use an ordinary case, that is my luggage to the aircraft.At the destination airport I insert an axis, made from a length of threaded rod into the holes in the case install the Commons and put by a kid's bikes, bike obtained the Salvation Army for about $10 geborgen.Dann put I expanded that case handle on the Bike rack.
I proper wear when biking no weight on my shoulders or by bike (No bags) shoulder to fatigue or bicycle balance is not a problem.  Works like a charm. 

This combination works well on trains where I had to bags, get to remove the bike on the train by me.With my rig I unhook the trailer then the bicycle trailer set and on the train separately."If home return, I throw away of axles and wheels - and the case is ready for the aircraft ready."

We applaud Maurice for his innovative get it done Geist.Es looks like a very interesting arrangement thought the handling properties have some interesting dynamics can. it looks like a useful combination of available materials for a nice solution for some great travel.
